Lawyer’s Committee for Cultural Heritage Preservation, 8th Annual Conference

Registration is now open for the Lawyers’ Committee for Cultural Heritage Preservation 8th Annual Conference, co-sponsored with The Georgetown Art Law Association. 

The conference will be held at Georgetown University Law Center on Friday, March 10, 2017. The conference will address: a new vision for the antiquities trade; human rights and the law of armed conflict; the history of museum collecting of antiquities, in particular the role of colonialism in the growth of encyclopedic collections, and restitution justice; update on the most important current indigenous peoples issues in Canada and the U.S.; and the Virtual Multimodal Museum.
