During the upcoming session, learn how 2015’s economic trends and patterns may impact your nonprofit organization’s programs, services, and fundraising practices. Dr. Stephen Fuller, a respected economist from George Mason University, will share the outcomes of his research and his view on the area’s current and future economic health. He will explore the challenges we face as well as the opportunities and benefits that come from living in the region.

Equipped with a current assessment of the economic trends shaping our region, Barbara Garlock, director of the Nonprofit Roundtable’s Project FIRM (Financial Reporting and Management Institute), will discuss adaptive leadership styles and introduce strategies to support your mission-driven work, covering programming, finance, and management. A panel conversation with nonprofit executives concludes this timely program, providing on-the-ground examples of how they’ve adjusted their leadership styles and practices in response to external environmental factors and the economy. They’ll communicate their challenges, successes, and lessons learned.

Through an increased understanding of the economy and leadership best practices, attendees will learn how they can raise awareness as well as manage and improve their operations and programs.
