Decal Contest ThumbnailVehicle Decal Design Competition gives teen artists a chance to make a big impression on Arlington County.

The Founders Hall Gallery on Mason’s Arlington Campus will host an exhibition of the finalists for this year’s annual vehicle Decal Design Competition. The opening reception will be held December 18, 2014, from 5:30 – 7:00pm. Begun in 2005 by the Arlington County Treasurer’s Office, the Decal Design Competition gives high school students who reside or attend schools in Arlington the opportunity to showcase their creativity by designing the annual County decal. Application and submissions for the 2015 – 2016 design competition are due by 5:00 pm on Monday, December 1, 2014. County residents will have an opportunity to vote on the final designs (online and through the Sun Gazette).

High school students interested in submitting a design should complete the application: http://arlingtonva.s3.amazonaws.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/23/2013/12/2015-2016-Application-to-Students-FILL-OUT-final.pdf and email their submission to sanderson@arlingtonva.us.
