Four Seasons Chamber Music Festival, Winter Workshop 2018 Internship

The Four Seasons Chamber Music Festival seeks applicants for an internship position in arts administration for Winter Workshop 2018. This is an unpaid position, however, travel expenses, housing and meals will be covered by the festival. The workshop takes place January 2-7, 2018 at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina.

Winter Workshop 2018 will bring participants in the beginning stages of professional careers from throughout the world to Greenville, NC, to perform and interact with Four Seasons guest artists and East Carolina University faculty artists. Last season’s Winter Workshop brought 29 participants chosen from over 350 applicants for this focused six-day setting. 2018 Faculty artists include Robert Mcdonald, Keiko Sekino, Kwan Yi, Ara Gregorian, Ida Kavafian, Hye-Jin Kim, Daniel Phillips, Misha Amory, Steven Tenenbom, Colin Carr, Emanuel Gruber and Michael Kannen.

Interns should expect to arrive in Greenville on December 30, 2017 and depart on January 8, 2018.  The position officially begins December 1st with remote work including assisting in development of publicity materials, scheduling and other preparations.  The majority of work will take place during the week of the festival and will include working with the managing director on all administrative aspects of Winter Workshop 2018.  Tasks will include managing social media, event planning and daily interaction with guest artists, the managing director and other university staff.

Applicants must have experience with Microsoft Office. A valid driver’s license is a plus. Adobe Suite experience is a plus. Knowledge of classical music is required. The ideal applicant will be preparing for a career in arts administration. Interns must be present for the entirety of Winter Workshop 2018. The position may be renewed for a second year.
