Greater Reston Art Center Internship

The Greater Reston Arts Center is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of arts professionals. We seek interns who are organized, creative, and motivated to gain insight and experience into how a contemporary arts center operates. Interns will gain knowledge in a variety of areas including hands-on experience in: exhibitions, art handling, event management, and education. Qualified interns may get additional experience in marketing, social media, and graphic design etc. Internships are unpaid, but offer the opportunity to build professional skills and relationships with experienced mentors.
Interested students should submit a cover letter, resume, and contact information for two references to the Gallery and Education Assistant, Sarah Black Sadler at firstname.lastname@example.org. Students from all disciplines are welcome to apply, however, applicants should have taken a minimum of two studio art and/or art history courses and be at least a junior. Graduate students are also welcome to apply. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Due dates for each semester are as follows:
Spring Semester December 1st
Summer Semester April 1st
Fall Semester September 1st
