NextStop is currently accepting applications for Fall, Spring, and/or year long Arts Management Internships.

NextStop Arts Management Interns will work closely with our Producing Artistic Director and Managing Director on high level administrative projects, including (but not limited to) programmatic and institutional marketing, individual giving, corporate/foundation grants, strategic planning, event planning, and/or board relations. Interns will gain first-hand insight on the operations of a mid-sized, regional theatre company and one of the DC Metropolitan regions fastest growing theatres.

Required Qualifications: Undergraduate degree in theatre, arts administration, business, or a related course of study with a strong passion for the performing arts; comfortable working in a patron database, demonstrated strong writing and sales skills, with the ability to work well independently to achieve specific self-set measured outcomes; strong writing skills; familiarity with Excel/Word and Google Drive.

Preferred Qualifications: Work experience at a nonprofit in the areas of development, marketing, sales or administration. Familiarity with common social media platforms.

Work Schedule: Between 8-20 hours per week is expected. NextStop understands and is willing to work with student’s academic, professional, and personal commitments. Scheduling is flexible and will be organized to be mutually beneficial and sustainable for both the student and NextStop leadership. Some projects and assignments may be done with significant autonomy and may be completed remotely.

Compensation: This is an unpaid internship.
