Volunteer at the Association of Performing Arts Presenters Conference

The Association of Performing Arts Presenters (APAP) is committed to giving performing arts students the not-to-be-missed opportunity of attending APAP|NYC 2015 as a volunteer. The conference brings together artists, venues, artist management, agencies and advocates to develop relationships and share knowledge. With their volunteer badge, student will have access to workshops, keynote, plenary and special interest sessions on a wide range of topics (music, dance, theater, etc.). The badge also grants access to more than 1,000 showcase performances that are staged throughout New York City.

At this year’s conference we are offering students the same great volunteer opportunity that we have offered in the past.

In exchange for 20 hours of volunteer work, students receive:

  • FREE student conference registration – a student’s work shift is over, the student can take advantage of all conference events, including professional development sessions, open meetings and showcase performances.
  • FREE Student Membership – upon completing the required work hours, students will receive a one-year free student membership giving access to a wide array of benefits and services including access to all resources on the APAP|365 website, the APAP Job Bank and the new APAP|Community online networking platform.

Student volunteers help at the:

  • Awards Luncheon
  • Events
  • Expo Hall
  • Conference Info Desk
  • Registration
  • Set up/Breakdown
  • And much, much more

And act as:

  • Documentarians
  • Session Monitors
  • Runners
  • Etc.

The artists, consultants, and presenting organizations that join us find a value of $910 in registering for the conference. This is a great opportunity for students to experience the conference without having to pay the price of registration.
