Washington Performing Arts, Summer 2018 Internships

Interns at Washington Performing Arts have the opportunity to work on meaningful projects that impact both the organization and the D.C. community. This summer we are seeking highly motivated, creative, hard-working individuals to intern in the following areas:
Development (20 hrs/wk)
- Assist with donor recognition and management of donor information (Intern will be trained in Tessitura)
- Conduct donor research
- Provide logistical assistance for the development and execution of donor events
Education & Community Engagement (20 hrs/wk)
- Assist with preparations, execution, and evaluation of 2018/19 in-school programs
- Conduct research on potential community artists, potential partner organizations, and alternative venues
- Support administrative and production needs for community events
- Provide logistical support for Men, Women & Children of the Gospel events including auditions and the Children of the Gospel Choir Summer Intensive
External Relations (15-20 hrs/wk)
- Assist with planning and execution of grassroots and community marketing campaigns
- Write and edit copy for web and print media
- Develop patron engagement tools
- Assist with social media content development and tracking
Programming and Production (15-20 hrs/wk)
- Research potential artists
- Provide on-site logistical support at performances and other artist engagement events including Politics & Art on June 14.
- Assist with contract administration and visa processing
