“The Friends of Music at Mason (FOMM) Internship offers mentorship and a unique view into community building and donor relations. It’s a flexible internship ideal for a student in the arts or arts management. The intern will gain experience in both fundraising, volunteer management, and community outreach.
Description:
-Mentorship and training from experiences community builders
-Managing and updating social media
-Assistance in event planning
-Reaching out to students and alumni about being featured by FOMM
-Creating and sending out weekly feature email
-Attending weekly or bi-monthly meetings with FOMM leadership
-Attending FOMM Board meetings
-Creating content for FOMM monthly newsletters
-Various writing projects
-Other duties as assigned
