The George Mason University, College of Visual and Performing Arts seeks qualified applicants for a part-time Digital Marketing Assistant to support its marketing efforts of the Center for the Arts and the Hylton Performing Arts Center. About the Position:
This position is approximately 20-25 hours per week and it is based on site at George Mason University’s Fairfax campus. Remote work is available for a portion of the hours, which are somewhat flexible Monday-Friday between 9-5 p.m.

Responsibilities:
The candidate will primarily plan, coordinate, and disseminate weekly email marketing campaigns using Constant Contact. Responsibilities also include assisting with email marketing reports and email list maintenance. Additional tasks may include updating website calendars, proofreading marketing materials, and creating RSVP forms and confirmations for digital events, among others.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience creating and managing email campaigns using Constant Contact or a similar email marketing tool; 
  • Knowledge of email marketing best practices; and 
  • Strong project management, writing and editing skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite; 
  • Basic video editing skills; and 
  • Arts and/or marketing experience.
